Chien-Yu Chou
Chien-Yu Chou is a research assistant to Professor Yi-Hwa at the National Taipei University of Education. Her research focuses on curriculum leadership, internal school marketing, and teachers’ organizational commitment in elementary schools. She explores how principals’ leadership and internal marketing strategies influence teachers’ engagement and long-term commitment to their schools, aiming to provide insights into effective leadership practices that foster a supportive and dedicated teaching workforce.
In the future, she will become an elementary school teacher. The role of elementary school teachers should align with the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in educational leadership and transformation. This can be achieved by creating an inclusive school culture, implementing student-centered teaching approaches, and addressing diverse learning needs. Her research highlights the role of curriculum leadership and internal marketing in fostering a positive school climate, ensuring that teachers feel valued and engaged, which in turn enhances their commitment to inclusive education.
Her current work in the Leading Intentional Futures Together (LIFT) project explores how school leadership strengthens equity-centered leadership networks within broader learning ecosystems. By examining how school leaders collaborate with teachers and stakeholders, her research contributes to developing sustainable educational environments that foster long-term educational equity and inclusivity.
